Update: The End Is Near

Here’s some good news to go into the New Year with. In a comment posted by Anonymous to the previous post “The End Is Near

So according to the latest Nasa data… we’re not gonna die from that asteroid, almost all of the data pertaining to it’s earth impact in 24 years has been removed…

Asteroid MN4 is now rated a 1 on the Torino scale, which means the asteroid has a 99.99630000% chance that it will miss the Earth. Wow, that was close. I guess that means there’s only a 0.0037% chance that I’ll get a “The End Is Near” party invitation in the mail now that there’s a new chance of Impact Probability.

Quake May Have Made Earth Wobble

Here’s something for those of you who already complain there’s not enough hours in a day.

The deadly Asian earthquake may have permanently accelerated the Earth’s rotation — shortening days by a fraction of a second — and caused the planet to wobble on its axis, U.S. scientists said on Tuesday.

The End Is Near

The end is near… Well, at least according to an e-mail my Dad sent me. On April 13, 2029 the asteroid MN4 has a 1/38 chance of hitting the earth with an impact force of 150 megatons. By the way, April 13, 2029 is a Friday… Talk about bad luck. I suggest everyone go rent Armageddon and Deep Impact, with only 24 years to live, now is a good time as any to watch them

Deadwood Returns

Just recieved my Deadwood Newsletter and thought I’d share it with everyone.

All New Episodes, Beginning March 6
How will Bullock survive as sheriff of a lawless boomtoon? How will his love affair survive the arrival of his family out West? Can anyone survive in Swearengen’s bloody domain? Deadwood’s denizens continue to seek their fortunes in an all-new season of the Emmy-winning dramatic series, premiering Sunday, March 6 at 9PM.

Also, if you can’t wait for Deadwood to return. Then you may be interest in HBO’s rebroadcast of season one. They’re playing back-to-back episodes, starting with episode 1, “Deadwood,” at 9 PM followed immediately by with episode 2, “Deep Water.” at 10pm on Monday, January 3rd. I might Tivo them, that way I can rewatch them before season two starts.

So Long SuprNova.org, We’ll Miss You

SuprNova.org ends, not with a bang but a whimper via The Register

SuprNova.org, the most popular BitTorrent file-sharing site, has stop hosting torrent links. I guess I’ll have to start looking else where. Too bad, SuprNova.org was a one stop shop for all your torrent needs.
