Last night’s episode of The Amazing Race was one of the most hilarious that I’ve seen in a long time. Between teams being lost, cars breaking down and team members falling off horses, I can’t remember laughing so hard. In the end, it all added up to a great race, it’s good to see the teams actually jockey back and forth for first place once in a while.
Oh, I also learned that Mongolians must be some of the friendliest people. They provide directions, help fix cars, change flats, and find helmets. If it wasn’t the locals, a lot of teams would be wondering around the outskirts of Mongolia.

Here are the photos from the BBQ this weekend. Everyone seemed to have fun despite Saturday’s weather. The Chicago White Sox mascot, Southpaw, even made an appearance as a tie-in to help celebrate our friend’s son birthday.

Throwing a challenge is the dumbest idea ever, especially this early in the game. I don’t know why people think it is a good play. You have a tribe; the goal is to get your tribe to win. I hope Aitu loses the entire game.

Hey, check it out. One of my photos made it onto FlickrBlog. That must explain why it’s recieved so much activity over the last few days.

Where was this movie when I was celebrating International Talk like a Pirate Day?
In any case, Pyrats is an animated short from five students at the Gobelins animation school in France. The animation is great and it’s a lot of fun to watch regardless of what day it is. I can diffidently see a little “Pirates of the Caribbean” influence. Visit their web site for HI-FI quality downloads and more information.
It’s a shame this isn’t feature length movie, because I’d pay to see it!
It’s Howell & Cotto as WIND morning duo via Chicago Sun-Times
After 17 years of spinning country music records at WUSN-FM (99.5), Big John Howell is about to reinvent himself as a talk show host on news/talk WIND-AM (560).
OK, I know this isn’t new news… But it’s new to me. Last week, I noticed that Big John was missing from his normal morning show on US 99.5. But what caught my curiosity was that they never mentioned that he was on vacation, etc. So, I finaly got around to checking into it, and low and behold. He’s jumpped ship.
Too bad… I enjoyed listening to him. Maybe, I’ll have to give his talk show a try.
Even though the question still begs to be answered; who is Oscar Shales? Mahone’s connection with Shales is looking to be more and more interesting. It looks like this maybe the very thing that will come back to haunt him once Michael figures out the connection, which I’m sure he will. And now that Mahone know where the escapees are headed, it can’t be to much longer until he has his proof that Michael and Lincoln are still alive (even though he never thought they were dead.)
So, what’s going to happen with the money now? And is it time for T-Bag’s hand to fall off?

Here are a few photos Beth took on Matthew’s 1st day of preschool. He has such a serious face in this one. But, all things considered, he did rather well on his first “real” day of preschool.
