EXIT ONLY

Aaaaarrrrrr…. It makes my blood boil. I’m amazed at how people don’t understand what the “Exit Only” sign on an exit means on the highway. I don’t specifically remember learning this in my drivers ed class, but I kinda picked up that it meant that that specific lane was going to exit and if you didn’t want to exit, that you should get out of that lane.

But, for some reason… As I sat in traffic this afternoon, I noticed lots of people who must believe that the exit only does not mean the lane is ending.

Avast, me hearties!

Autum Is In The Air

2005-10-09 Johansen Farms 068

A few mornings ago, when I left for work it was a cool 39 degrees outside. I guess now with Autumn just officially four days away, it was just another reminder that summer is really over.

Actually, autumn is my favorite times of the year. I do miss the extra hours of daylight (it gets a little depressing driving to and from work in the dark every day), but gone are the days of sweltering heat. The air outside is crisp and the changing of color in the leaves makes for a beautiful makeover. I could go on forever, about autumn… apples picking, pumpkin pies, Halloween, Thanksgiving (Mmm, turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes.)
